CouncilFirst joins forces with the Shire of Yalgoo to help strengthen and future-proof the Shire's internal operations
The Shire of Yalgoo, located in the heart of central Western Australia, has partnered with CouncilFirst to update and streamline its council operations using our purpose-built integrated ERP solution.
Covering nearly 33,000 square kilometres, Yalgoo is home to a small but close-knit community of around 350 residents, known for its old-world charm and strong sense of identity. As the Shire continues to deliver essential services to a vast and remote region, it recognised the need for a modern system that could enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility across all areas of council administration.
Finance was a key driver in Yalgoo’s decision to upgrade its systems. The move to CouncilFirst’s modern cloud-based platform, powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure, will transform how the Shire manages budgeting, financial reporting, procurement, payroll, and ESS. Through real-time data and automated workflows, staff will gain the tools to work more efficiently, reduce manual processes, and improve accuracy in financial management.
Beyond finance, Yalgoo will also benefit from a fully connected system encompassing records management, regulatory management, and customer service. The Microsoft foundation ensures the Shire’s new environment is secure, scalable, and capable of evolving alongside future council needs.
